If you’re in St. Louis and spout off in 140-character increments on Twitter, you probably know one if not both of us. We — that would be Tom (@SPACEarchitects) and Shelley (@stlshelley) — love food, and to keep our energy up and waistlines in check, we practice the Paleo diet. (For the unindoctrinated, it’s essentially a modernized version of how our hunched-over Paleolithic brethren ate: lean meats, veggies, nuts and fruits. Dairy, wheat, processed sugar and legumes are no-nos. For a more robust explanation of Paleo and their frustration with it, check out one of Shelley’s [many] rants here.)

This blog is a food diary that outlines our kitchen successes and the inevitable failures. We’re not perfect — we will indulge in big grilled cheese sandwiches, ice cream, and pizza from time to time — but we’re sure going to do our best. We aren’t professionally-trained chefs, but we can hold our own in the kitchen and we know what tastes good.
